Capital spending and improved sales led the way for business success in 2018, members of Schaumburg-based Technology & Manufacturing said in a monthly flash survey reported this week.
Over 35% of those responding to the survey pointed to capital spending as a success for them – meaning purchasing new machines, technology, building improvements that increase their business options.
Over 22% said they had improved sales in 2018 and 14.04% said they had new hires in the year – all positive signs for area manufacturers.
A considerable number of responders said their customer satisfaction was high and they were able to invest more in their employees in 2018 than in previous years.
Altogether, 2018 will wrap up as a positive for TMA members.
