Lake Park High School takes home most PMC awards for 2018

SCHAUMBURG – Lake Park High School in Chicago’s western suburb of Roselle took home the most division wins at Technology & Manufacturing Association’s 27th annual Precision Machining Competition held last week at the Mazak Headquarters in Schaumburg.
Lake Park High School instructors Andy Rupnick and Matt Sullivan’s team members grabbed five first place winners: Division I – Angle Set (Shane Toms) and Punch Set (Derek Szczekocki); Division II – Drill Press Vise(Derek Szczekocki); NIMS Advanced Division – Shane Toms); and CNC NIMS Advanced Division – CNC Programming: Milling (Jonathan Chiano); CNC Programming: Turning (Ricky Sandoval).
Lake Park High’s second place winners included in Division 1 – Angle Set (Eryk Hyzy); Division II – Drill Press Vise (Peter Waclawik); 123 Block (Pavvel Puzia); CNC NIMS Advanced – CNC Programming: Milling (Alexander Kreisher); CNC Programming: Turning (Sebastian Gonzalez)
Altogether, Lake Park took home 13 awards – including one perfect score on Derek Szczekocki’s Division 1 Punch set.
