SCHAUMBURG – Political analysts say a “Blue Tsunami” could hit the US in November, causing Democrats to regain the majority in US Congress. US manufacturing is riding a historic wave of its own right now. So how would the two waves react with a House Speaker Nancy Pelosi?

Democrat Congressman Dan Lipinski will be visiting with TMA members Monday, May 14th to give insight into what manufacturers can expect if the tidal wave hits.

Lipinski has offered legislation that would allow veterans to use their GI benefits to pursue manufacturing careers. He’s eager to have input into NAFTA negotiations. He’s worked to promote “Buy American” products.

How will a change in congressional leadership affect manufacturing in the Midwest?
