How a machining instructor changed a West Baltimore kid’s life

WEST BALTIMORE – As a kid barely out of elementary school, Montez King wandered the streets of West Baltimore with his buddies. He skipped school so much he didn’t know who his teachers were or where his locker was.

In high school, an instructor grabbed him by the shirt collar into a dark hall – and it changed his life.

Today, Montez King is testifying before Congress as Executive Director of NIMS – where he is determined to make a difference in the lives of young Americans, too. King will be presenting diplomas at Technology & Manufacturing Association’s 2018 Related Theory Graduation May 24th, 2018.

His story in Paradox: Choices Matter.
